A premium face-to-face meditation course at the wonderful Yoga Tree centre in Norwich's stunning, ancient town centre that will redefine your awareness of what meditation is, how meditation can help you and revolutionise your well-being. The course covers:

Each classroom session will run for 1 hour from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on a Wednesday.

Where is it?

The Yoga Tree is at 50 All Saints Green, Norwich NR1 3NB.

The Yoga Tree is a safe, clean and relaxing venue with a wonderful atmosphere. The course will be held in the carpeted downstairs practice room where there are chairs, bolsters, blocks and throws for your comfort.

The Yoga Tree also hosts the Acorn Cafe, so why not also stop for a delicious lunch, speciality tea/coffee or a gorgeous slice of cake?

Week 1: Commence Your Odyssey of The Mind

You will embark with assurance that your mind and body will wander and wish to fidget. You'll learn a bit about your teacher and their practice, before they take you through what you will be learning during the course and how you will learn it. By the end of the first session, you will also have learned two types of mediation: body scan and focusing on an object.

Week 2: Discover More About the World of Meditation 

During your second exploration of meditation, you'll extend the length of time you practice for. After settling in to the session with a guided body scan (as learned in session 1), you'll learn about the physiological effects of meditation and then practice an extended focusing-on-an-object meditation as learned in session 1. By the end of the session, you'll also have learned how to meditate with a mantra.

Week 3: Increase Your Learning About the Methods and the Science 

At your third class, you'll open with a body scan and then learn about the psychological benefits of meditation. You'll have an opportunity to develop your mantra practice and will be taught the art of the walking meditation.

Week 4: Feel Comfortable with Longer Mediations and More Types

You will have learned a lot by now, and after settling in with a body scan, you'll learn more about the physiological and psychological changes to the mind that can take place. You'll extend your walking meditation practice and learn a new technique: focusing on breath. 

Week 5: No Longer a Beginner

No longer a beginner, by the end of your fifth session you'll know 5 key meditation techniques, have a well-rounded understanding about the science of meditation and understand the value of a non-judgemental approach to your onward practice.

Who Will Your Teacher Be?

Your teacher will be regulated by the British School of Meditation (BSoM) having graduated through the BSoM's meditation teacher training course with distinction, passed enhanced DBS checks and demonstrated that they are insured.
